CE Engineering Overview
CE Engineering provides services for legacy HP Enterprise NonStop (Tandem) Server users including; sales of systems, system components and peripherals, system upgrades, hardware support and maintenance, replacement spares and repairs, technical hardware training and consultancy, system de-installation and/or disposal, system relocation, disaster recovery, software and software support, data sanitisation and media destruction, and media data transfer. Used and refurbished HPE NonStop (Tandem) System and equipment can be sold, leased or rented and customers' redundant systems purchased outright or re-marketed on a commission basis.
With customers in Africa, Asia, Australasia, mainland Europe, the Middle East, Scandinavia, South America and the United Kingdom we have supplied equipment and services to all the major banks in the United Kingdom and many of the major financial institutions overseas. We also supply equipment, services and consultancy to a number of HP offices around the world.
We hold a large inventory of used and refurbished equipment at our facilities in the United Kingdom and at our sister company in the USA, and through close links with other HPE NonStop (Tandem) users and specialist brokers around the world we have access to volumes of additional equipment. CE can supply anything from K-Series Himalayas to NB-Series NonStop BladeSystems and their associated peripherals.
At the core of our services is hardware maintenance. Capitalising on the inherent ease of maintenance of Tandem systems, CE Engineering has developed a hardware maintenance package that offers cost savings over normal support contracts by reducing the need for a team of travelling customer engineers. CE Engineering's support package has additional benefits in that problem response and rectification times are reduced as the delay in waiting for a trained engineer to arrive on-site is all but eliminated. Furthermore, logistical delay can be eradicated by the provision of an on-site hot-spare system.
If you are responsible for legacy HPE Nonstop/Tandem systems and you need a solution, whatever the problem, CE Engineering can either help or will point you in the right direction.
HP have announced the End of Service Life (EoSL) for NS1200 systems. Customers with these systems will need to look to a third party for hardware maintenance from February 2018. Contact us to discuss NS1200 hardware support options.
We are looking to add to our stock holding of S-Series and have a requirement for S70000 PMF's (Model: 1951-4, TPN: U37336) with any memory configuration.
Contact CE Engineering's Support Services if you have S70000 PMFs available for disposal.
The 2017 ETUG Event hosted by the British Isles Tandem User Group (BITUG) and held in London on 9-10 May was by any measure a real success. It has been a while since CE Engineering attended one of these events. With old acquaintances reestablished and new contacts made, the importance of meeting face to face with our customer base was reinforced. We will be back next year.
Our thanks to BITUG for hosting an excellent event and to CSP for hosting a great evening at the Aqua Shard - the bar (in both senses) for such events has been well and truly raised.
